Todd M. Farrar

In his law practice, Todd Farrar helps people who are going through difficult situations. These range from car and trucking collision injuries, slip & fall accidents, medical and pharmacy malpractice, and people facing criminal charges for drunk driving, felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses, or other infractions.

Todd Farrar says that: “At HFF I take great pride in the work we do and how we treat our team and clients. I often have people tell me something along the lines that ‘You’re the first attorney who has taken the time to really listen to me, go through the pros and cons of my case, and outline what I can expect.’”

As a trial lawyer and mediator, Todd is both persistent and professional in what he does. This includes recovering maximum compensation for victims of car wrecks; catastrophic commercial trucking injuries; motorcycle collisions; slip- and trip-and-fall incidents; and devastating health complications due to negligent healthcare.

He also practices criminal defense and handles Mississippi misdemeanors, felonies, traffic offenses, and DUIs.

Todd says his choice of practice areas stems from personally witnessing the effects that a severe personal injury can have on a loved one and your family.

“When I was in the eighth grade, my father picked me up from a soccer game in Picayune, Mississippi. We were driving back home on Hwy 43 when a drunk driver hit us head on…” he recalls. “It affected my life, my family’s life, and it took my dad years to recover from the accident, and to some extent he never fully recovered because he still has a noticeable limp and pain.”

“On the criminal defense side, I can remember being a teenager sitting on the witness stand and trying to testify against the drunk driver who nearly killed us, as a prosecutor and defense attorney questioned me. That had a lasting impression on me and my desire to seek justice in a courtroom. Whether I’m in a personal injury trial getting a jury to award millions for my client(s) or defending someone wrongfully accused of a crime, I’m fighting for justice.”

From then on, Todd says he vowed to make sure that if others were in his father’s situation, he’d pursue the compensation, accountability, and justice that accident victims seek — and deserve — in order to move on with their lives.

Todd and his wife, Amy, reside in Ocean Springs with their children, Luke and Grace, and the family dog, Loui. He enjoys spending his free time coaching youth basketball, baseball, flag football, and soccer, as well as fishing and boating in the Mississippi Sound. Todd and Amy have also volunteered with Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter, where they have fostered over 30 dogs and helped place them in forever homes.

Among Todd’s legal recognition are his being selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for 2022-23 (as a top-rated attorney as recognized by peers) and his earning a spot on the National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 list. He is also active in several bar associations and legal foundations throughout Mississippi and Louisiana.
